I was born in Bad Kreuznach, a small town in the heart of Germany. Inspired by photoalbums my mother showed me of her childhood, I developed a fascination for beautiful images. They were haunting black and white photographs taken by my grandfather in the early 1950's.
Then I discovered the world of movies with their larger than life imagery and view of the world outside of Bad Kreuznach. Today, as then, they are my biggest inspiration. The way directors like Godard, Fellini and Antonioni used images instead of words to tell a story has always impressed me.
In my late 20's I sold my car, packed my bags, crossed the ocean and landed in Miami Beach with not just the intention but an overwhelming desire to create my own images. A photographer I would be!
